1.
The King of Love my Shepherd is Whose goodness faileth never I nothing lack if I am His And He is mine forever Where streams of living water flow My ransomed soul He leadeth And where the verdant pastures grow With food celestial feedeth Perverse and foolish oft I strayed But yet in love He sought me And on His shoulder gently laid And home rejoicing brought me In death’s dark vale I fear no ill With Thee dear Lord beside me Thy rod and staff my comfort still Thy cross before to guide me And so through all the length of days Thy goodness faileth never Good Shepherd may I sing Thy praise Within Thy house forever.
2.
When I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of glory died My richest gain I count but loss And pour contempt on all my pride Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast Save in the death of Christ my God all the vain things that charm me most I sacrifice them to His blood See from His head, His hands, His feet Sorrow and love flow mingled down Did e’er such love and sorrow meet Or thorns compose so rich a crown Were the whole realm of nature mine That were an offering far too small Love so amazing, so divine Demands my life, my soul, my all.
3.
Take my life and let it be Consecrated Lord to Thee Take my moments and my days Let them flow in ceaseless praise Take my hands and let them move At the impulse of Thy love Take my feet and let them be Swift and beautiful for Thee Take my voice and let me sing Always only for my King Take my lips and let them be Filled with messages from Thee Take my silver and my gold Not a mite would I withhold Take my intellect and use Every power as Thou shalt choose Take my will and make it Thine It shall be no longer mine Take my heart it is Thine own It shall be Thy royal throne Take my love my Lord I pour At Thy feet its treasure store Take myself and I will be Ever only all for Thee
4.
There Is A Green Hill There is a green hill in a far away country It stands near a city, outside a wall Where Jesus our Saviour, the King of all Glory Suffered and died to save us all I may not know of the pain of His passion But I believe that in my place He stood That I may know freedom, and live in forgiveness For I am redeemed by His great love There was no other good enough Willing to pay the price of sin For He was the only One who could reach out And unlock the gates of heaven to let us in So very dearly Jesus has loved us All He would ask is that we love Him too And trust Him for all that this life lays before us That we would try His work to do Phil Baggaley, David Clifton, Ian Blythe (Words adapted from the text by C.F.Alexander, 1818-1895) © 2001 Little Room Music / IQ Music

about

Ancient and modern! Something old, something new. The three traditional hymns recorded for this EP have been given an inspirational new interpretation and fresh approach. 'The King Of Love' was first worked on in London for a TV broadcast, and this updated version with additional percussion has also been remastered. 'When I Survey The Wondrous Cross' and 'Take My Life And Let It Be' are both well known hymns that have been reworked with new melodies illuminating the familiar texts. The additional acoustic mix of 'There Is a Green Hill' is a bonus track and can either be downloaded free, or you can name a price that you'd be happy to give.
